Privacy Policy

This policy explains how CATA (“CATA”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and shares information through our website at catax.ai and through the apps we operate, including the Claude Gmail MCP app, which connects to Google accounts.

Google user data we access

When you connect a Google account to the Claude Gmail MCP app and grant permission, the app can access the following data from that account:

• Gmail messages: subjects, senders, recipients, dates and other message metadata, message content, and attachments.
• Google Calendar data: your calendars and their events, including event times, titles, descriptions, locations and attendees.

The app only accesses the accounts you connect, and only within the permissions you approve on Google's consent screen.

How we use Google user data

We use Google user data only to provide the features you ask for, such as:

• searching your email and calendar;
• building reports from your messages and attachments, for example expense reports from receipts;
• drafting emails, and sending emails when you ask the app to.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models. People at CATA do not read your Google user data unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it is needed for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or it is required by law.

Where data is processed and how long it's kept

Google user data is processed on your own computer, where the app runs, and on CATA's systems hosted on Google Cloud, only for as long as it takes to carry out your request.

We do not keep copies of your Google user data after a request is complete. Results you choose to keep, such as a report saved to your computer or a draft saved in your Gmail, stay where you saved them until you delete them. The permission that lets the app reach your account remains in place until you disconnect the app or ask us to remove it.

Data sent between your computer, our systems and our service providers is encrypted in transit.

Disconnecting and deleting your data

You can stop the app from accessing your Google account at any time by removing it from your Google Account's third-party access page.

To ask us to delete any information we hold about you, email support@catax.ai from the address in question. We will delete it and confirm by email once it's done.

Sharing

We never sell Google user data, never use or share it for advertising, and never transfer it to data brokers or information resellers. We share it only when needed to provide the features you ask for:

• AI model providers, such as Anthropic, which process your request (for example, reading the relevant messages to build a report or draft a reply) and return the result.
• Google Cloud, which hosts CATA's systems.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy, including the Limited Use commitments below, continues to apply.

Limited Use

CATA's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Our website and waitlist

If you join the waitlist on catax.ai, we collect your email address and the language you viewed the site in. We use them only to contact you about CATA's launch. They are stored in our logs on Google Cloud and posted to our internal team workspace in Slack so our team is notified. You can ask us to remove your email at any time at support@catax.ai.

The site does not use cookies or tracking. It remembers your language choice in your browser's local storage, and loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above. If a change affects how we use Google user data, we will ask for your consent before applying it.
